As far as anybody knows, this is the only remaining picture of grandmother Amada Veleta. After marrying Norberto Hernandez, she bore him 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. She died while her last child, Elias was still a toddler.
By all accounts she was a truly remarkable woman. Norberto didn't remarry until some 25 years after her death.
