With all the discourse on immigration, I thought it would be helpful to remember where we come from. For us, it was Mexico, but it could have been Italy, Poland, Ireland, Germany....even England. Recently, our niece, Alyssa Marquez, wrote a college paper on the subject. She did a really good job. It is a brief account of how Alfonso Olivas (our dad) came to be in this country.
